Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) (Space)

by | Mar 22, 2021 | Chakra Clearing | 0 comments

The fifth chakra, which is the throat chakra, is also called Vishuddha.   In Sanskrit Vishuddha means especially pure.  The throat chakra has to do with the region of the throat, jaw, neck, mouth and thyroid.  It relates to communication and your ability to understand and speak your inner truth purely.  The throat chakra is associated with the colour sapphire blue or turquoise and the element ether (space) and frequency 741 Hz.

The throat chakra of the planet has two locations which are the Great Pyramid of Giza as well as Mount Sinai which are both in Egypt.  The throat chakra is linked to communication and expression, particularly your ability to express your truth.  It is also linked to communication verbal or non-verbal as well as your intuitive abilities.  It is responsible for creativity and your sense of purpose.  At a physical level the throat chakra is associated to the pharyngeal and brachial plexi and is connected to the mouth, jaw, tongue, pharynx and palate as well as the shoulders and the neck.  The thyroid, which regulates the processing of energy in the body through temperature, growth and metabolism, is linked to this chakra.

Balanced Throat Chakra

When one  has a balanced throat chakra they speak confidently with ease, listen well, and express themselves freely.  They are self-confident, authentic, open minded, adjust well to change and in full creative flow with life.  One who has a balanced throat chakra communicates thoughtfully and clearly and has a balanced thyroid and healthy gland function, is very decisive and speaks without fear.  They are also peaceful, truthful and set clear boundaries for themselves and others.

When you have an unbalanced throat chakra, which can be over or under active, you may experience the following:

Underactive Throat Chakra

-being afraid of offending others

-having a shy or weak voice

-having poor rhythm

-feeling unable to speak up

-feeling frustrated in conversation

-misunderstanding body language

-inability to focus on conversation

-feeling talked at rather than to

-being interrupted frequently

These are some of the signs of an under or overactive throat chakra which are both out of balance.

Now I will go over some signs that you may have a blocked throat chakra.  When out of balance one has difficulty staying true to themselves and expressing needs, desires, and opinions with themselves and others as well as the following:

Symptoms of blocked throat chakra

-lack of control over speech

-headaches

-chronic sore throat

-mouth ulcers

-dental issues

-pain or tension in jaw or neck

-thyroid problems

-excessive fear of speaking

-quiet voice

-difficulty expressing your feelings

-excessive secretiveness or shyness

-lack of connection with purpose

-neck pain or stiffness

-horseness

-temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders

If you  notice any of these issues persisting there is a very good chance you have a blockage in your throat chakra.  The throat chakra Is seen as the bottleneck of the movement of energy in the body.

Now I will go over things you can do, use and eat to help bring your throat chakra back into balance and harmony.  Some foods that assist with this chakra are blueberries, blackberries, coconut water, raw honey, lemon, as well as fruits that grow on trees like apples, peaches, pears, apricots and plums.  Some other foods are aubergine, purple grapes, purple broccoli, purple carrots and goji berries.  Nuts and seeds such as flax, sesame, almonds, walnuts are also good for this chakra.  As well drink lots of water, fresh 100% fruit juices with no added sugars and herbal teas.  Some crystals that are used to balance and heal the throat chakra are turquoise, blue agate, lapis lazul, sodatite, aquamarine, angetite, apatite and Celestine. Some essential oils used are rosemary, lime, cedarwood, sage, birch, chamomile, lavender, marjoram, oregano.  You can use sound therapy to heal this chakra like chanting ham which is used to open the throat during meditation and listening to 384 Hz frequency binaural beats.  Doing chakra clearing meditations while visualizing the colour blue while focusing on the throat area as well as meditating outside.  Also I Perform Energy Healing and clearing which removes these blocks allowing the natural flow of your energy.  After sessions with me all your chakras move into a balanced state which allows your body to return to a state of wellbeing.

Some other things you can do for this chakra is wear the colour blue, singing, writing or journaling or just spending time in the great outdoors doing the things you love.  These are just some of the things that help you get  your throat chakra into a balanced state.  If you ever want to know more about this chakra or any other feel free to reach out to me and I am more than happy to help.  Remember, as always you are Magnificent!!!!!
